FCCA Membership
The Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) is the national body of professional film critics and reviewers. The FCCA is a member of the international critics association, FIPRESCI, and is the only national professional body of critics, reviewers and film writers in Australia.
Criteria for Membership
• Applicants are expected to write or broadcast on a substantial and regular basis on contemporary first release cinema. ( Minimum 6 times a year)
• It is a condition of FCCA membership that all members view all Australian releases each calendar year, and vote for the annual FCCA Awards for Australian films.
• Members must agree to abide by the rules of the organisation, as stipulated in the Articles of Association.
The aims of the FCCA are:
• To promote excellence and integrity in the art of film criticism, and
• To recognise outstanding achievement in Australian film through the Annual FCCA Awards.

Membership runs from July 1st to June 30 each year. Renewals are usually called for from late May each year
